Folk Art Inspired Free Hand Embroidery
Developed based on a sketch for an “åkdyna” in Skåne wool embroidery from the Skåne Regional Museum’s rich textile collection.
The kit includes: unbleached half-linen fabric with a drawn pattern, wool yarn (redgarn), color image, stitch description and needle, and historical background.
I developed the material kit in collaboration with the Regional Museum, from which another kit with a simpler motif in cross stitch was also taken from a name cloth from 1776.
