PIONJÄR purse. Wordplay in Swedish with the name for the peony flower. Collaboration with the women’s history magazine Historiskan.
The fabric is gray-blue linen and for the embroidery I used antique sewing silk with Historiskan’s shocking pink profile color as the main color. I drew the motif freehand directly on the fabric based on my sketches and then sewed with satin stitch.
The bag was raffled off among the members of the magazine’s subscriber club PIONJÄR. In addition to special offers, news and benefits, every new PIONJÄR member receives an exclusive enamel pin with the motif of a blooming peony.
